What is better, Windows or Unix?
If you are new at websites and have just started with a web host this will a slightly difficult concept to understand. Windows hosting and Unix hosting are two totally different routes that you can take.
It entirely depends on the applications that you are using, for example if you intend you use Frontpage or if your website uses Microsoft/ASP programming language framework than windows hosting may be perfect for you.
But if you are using one of the open source technologies like PHP, Ruby or the likes then UNIX would be more suitable.
